CPSP president visits FJMC

LAHORE: President CPSP Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhary along with Regional Director Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal visited Fatima Jinnah Medical College recently and addressed the academic council, supervisors and postgraduate resident doctors. He discussed the details of residency programme and tutor system.
He pointed out that after SAARC region and Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States have also asked for the establishment of regional centre and accreditation of their medical institutes by the CPSP. On a request from Prof.Rakshanda Councillor of CPSP, he also announced the launching of FCPS Programme in the department of Pathology.
Earlier Principal FJMC Prof. Abdul Majeed Chaudhary in his welcome address appreciated the efforts of CPSP in facilitation of Postgraduate residents and supervisors. CPSP delegates acknowledged the efforts of Principal Prof. Abdul Majeed Chaudhary in structured training and monitoring. The meeting was attended by senior professors including Prof. Aamir Zaman Khan, Prof. Javaria Manan, Prof. Nazifa Ahmed, Prof. Fareed Zafar, Prof. Tariq Rasheed, Prof. Safdar Ali Malik, Prof. Irshad Hussain, Prof. Anjum Habib Vohara, Prof. Manzoor Ahmed and Prof. Hamid.

MDs training starts at
Nishtar Dental Section

MULTAN: Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has allowed oral & maxillofacial surgery department of Nishtar Dental Section to start MDS training programme under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Saeed, Prof. of oral & maxillofacial surgery.

Initially two postgraduates can be enrolled in this course for which Dr. Saima and Dr Qamar have been selected after interviews. Both of them are already working as demonstrators in the department of surgery. CPSP authorities are also being approached for permission to start training for FCPS in this specialty.
