LAHORE: Pakistan Association of Dermatologists is holding its 28th
Annual conference at Lahore from November 6-8th 2009.It is being hosted
by the Department of Dermatology AIMC / Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.
According to a communication received from the organizes Prof. Tahir
Saeed Haroon, a well known dermatologist of the country who retired as
Head of the Dept.of Dermatology at King Edward Medical College Lahore is
the Patron of the conference while Prof. Muhammad Jahangir, Head of the
Dept.of Dermatology at Allama Iqbal Medical College & Jinnah Hospital
Lahore is chairman of the Organizing Committee. Prof. Tariq Zaman, Head
of Dermatology Dept. FHM College of Medicine and Dentistry Lahore is the
organizing secretary. Prof. Tariq Rashid from FJMC Lahore has been named
as Chairman of the Scientific Committee.
The scientific programme of the conference will consist of a pre
conference course for family physicians on common skin diseases on
Monday November 2nd 2009. On November 3rd there will be a workshop for
residents of medicine and dermatology on Systemic diseases and skin
followed by a seminar for general public on care of normal and diseased
skin on November 4th.
On Friday November 6th, there will be interactive session on
Dermatopathology in the morning followed by a workshop o Fillers and
Botox in the afternoon. The conference will be formally inaugurated in
the evening at 8.00 PM followed by inaugural dinner. There will be four
scientific sessions daily on November 7th and November 8th. The
conference is likely to attract dermatologists from all over the
